Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and any verification check you request from Fourpoint Business Consultancy Limited through it. By ticking the box on the questionnaire and submitting your request, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not submit a request.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

2. Who we are

Fourpoint Business Consultancy Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, with Company Number: 16325684 at registered office at Queensgate House, 48 Queen Street, Exeter, EX4 3SR

Our VAT registration number is GB489307646.

If you have any questions about our services or these Terms, please contact us at contactus@fourpointconsult.com

3. Our services

We provide assisted verification support for:

  • Companies House identity verification for company directors and people with significant control; and
  • Right to Work verification support for employers checking employees or workers.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend or cancel a verification request where:

  • information provided is inaccurate or misleading;
  • supporting evidence appears fraudulent or inconsistent;
  • the verification cannot be completed to the required standard; or
  • we identify regulatory, fraud prevention or compliance concerns.

Where a verification check has already been purchased or issued, section 8 will apply.

4. Eligibility and the accuracy of your answers

Our questionnaire establishes whether you hold the documents and information required before any check can begin. If you tell us you hold a document, you confirm that it is genuine, valid and in your name.

If your answers are inaccurate or incomplete — for example, if a document turns out to be expired, invalid, or not the type you selected — we may be unable to complete the check. In that case section 8 applies and no refund will be due, because the cost of submitting the check is incurred by us from the outset.

The person submitting a request warrants that they are authorised to request the verification service and, where acting on behalf of another person or organisation, have appropriate authority to provide the information required and instruct us to carry out the service.

5. How the process works

You complete the questionnaire, confirm you have read our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, and submit your request.

For individual verification requests that can be completed through our standard process, we will provide details of the applicable fee and payment arrangements. Once payment has been received, we will issue a secure verification link to the email address supplied. The individual being checked completes the verification through that link. Following successful completion, the verification outcome will be submitted to Companies House (for identity verification services) or a verification record will be produced (for Right to Work services).

Some requests, including employer services, multiple-person checks, ongoing screening arrangements, or more complex verification requirements, may require an initial consultation before any verification checks are commenced. In such cases, we will discuss your requirements, provide details of the proposed service and fees, and agree the process with you before any checks are ordered or payment is requested.

We reserve the right to determine whether a request is suitable for our standard online process or requires additional engagement before work can begin.

Verification links must be completed within the period specified in the invitation. Where a verification request is not completed within that period, a new verification request may require the purchase of a further check.

6. Prices and payment

Prices for standard verification services are shown on this website and are charged per check. Where you request multiple checks through the standard online process, the total price will be the applicable fee per check multiplied by the number of checks requested. Payment is taken in full through our secure payment platform.

For employer services, batch verification requests, ongoing verification arrangements or other services that require an initial consultation, pricing may be provided separately and may be subject to a separate proposal, quotation or service agreement. No work will commence until the applicable fees and scope of services have been agreed.

All prices shown include VAT where applicable.

7. Timescales and deadlines

While we aim to process verification requests as promptly as reasonably possible, we do not guarantee that any verification check will be completed within a particular timeframe.

Completion times may be affected by factors outside our control, including delays in payment processing, delays in the completion of verification steps by the individual being checked, technical issues affecting third-party verification providers, Companies House processing times, requests for additional information, and the quality or validity of documents provided.

It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient time is allowed for any verification process before any statutory filing deadline, confirmation statement deadline, Companies House requirement, recruitment decision, start date or other time-sensitive obligation.

Employers remain responsible for ensuring that Right to Work checks are completed within any timescales required by law or Home Office guidance.

Company directors, PSCs and companies remain responsible for ensuring that identity verification requirements and Companies House filing obligations are met within any applicable deadlines.

We shall not be responsible for any loss, penalty, missed deadline, filing failure, delay or other consequence arising from insufficient notice being provided to us or from delays outside our reasonable control.

8. Cancellation, refunds and failed checks

A verification check is a personalised digital service that begins as soon as your payment is received, because we submit the check and incur its cost from that moment.

If the check is unsuccessful or cannot be completed — for example because the documents provided do not match your answers, are expired or invalid, or the individual does not complete the verification link — no refund will be given, as the cost of the check has been incurred by us from the outset.

If we have not yet started the check (for example, where we cannot accept your request or you cancel before we begin), we will refund your payment in full.

By proceeding with payment, you expressly request that we begin providing the verification service immediately. We purchase and issue the verification check as soon as payment is received and incur costs at that point.

Once we have started providing the service, your statutory cancellation rights may be affected. Where a verification check has been purchased, issued or used, the corresponding costs are non-refundable.

9. Data protection

We collect only the information needed through this website to assess and administer your verification request. We do not collect identity document images, identity document numbers, dates of birth or other verification evidence through this website.

Where you proceed with a verification check, additional personal data will be collected and processed through our secure verification platform in order to complete the verification process. Depending on the type of verification requested, this may include identity documents, photographic images, biometric information, address information, verification results and other information required to satisfy legal and regulatory requirements.

Some of this information may constitute special category personal data under UK data protection legislation and will be processed only where there is a lawful basis to do so.

Verification records, supporting evidence and audit information may be retained for the periods required by applicable legal, regulatory and compliance obligations, including Companies House Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) requirements and Right to Work record-keeping obligations.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Verification information will only be shared with the relevant individual, employer, Companies House, regulatory body or authorised recipient as necessary to provide the service, or where required by law. Appropriate security measures will be used when transferring verification information.

Further information about how we process personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.

Read our Privacy policy

10. No legal advice

Our services verify identity and right to work information. They do not constitute legal, immigration, tax, accountancy or compliance advice.

Fourpoint's role is limited to carrying out identity verification checks and, where appropriate, submitting the verification statement to Companies House.

Responsibility for complying with Companies House requirements, maintaining accurate company records, making filings and fulfilling director, PSC or company obligations remains with the relevant individual and/or company.

Responsibility for determining whether a Right to Work check is required, undertaking any follow-up checks, maintaining a statutory excuse and complying with Home Office guidance remains with the employer.

11. Our liability

We are responsible to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, for business losses suffered by consumers, for delays or failures caused by third-party verification providers, Companies House or other third parties outside our reasonable control, or for any loss caused by inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information supplied to us.

While we will use reasonable care and skill in providing our services, we do not guarantee that a verification check will be successful, completed within a particular timeframe, or accepted by Companies House or any other organisation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any verification request shall not exceed the amount paid for the relevant verification service.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

12. Changes to these terms

We may amend these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website on the date you submit your request or place your order will apply to the services purchased. We recommend that you save or print a copy of these Terms for your records.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
